What TRACE never does
We will not be the place where your money moves.
The same three things that scare us about uploading bank history — holding balances we could lose, holding credentials we could misuse, holding a score someone else could deny — are the three things TRACE will never do.
No ledger
TRACE does not hold a balance. We do not store running totals in a way you cannot reproduce from the rows themselves.
Stateless derivation only — your total is the sum of the rows.
No custody
No ACH, no wire, no card movement. Aggregators connect read-only; TRACE never sees account credentials it could use to move funds.
Credentials never leave the aggregator.
No credit scoring
No scoring, no soft-pull, no bureau transmission. Your history stays with you and goes where you send it.
